Get to know Costa Rica

 

With only 51,100 square kilometers, Costa Rica hosts 5-6% of global biodiversity. Few places offer so many wonders in such a small area. Approximately more than 25% of the territory is protected under some category of management (national parks, biological resources and national wildlife refuges, etc). With an average temperature of 22ºC in the Central Valley and along the coast between 21-32ºC allows tourists to comfortably enjoy everything this country has to offer.

Dolphins, beautiful migratory seabirds, white and black sands, the variety of marine ecosystems, ideal for diving and fishing, make Costa Rica an ideal place to forget the stress and enjoy a unique experience site.

Beaches

Costa Rica is surrounded by two great oceans which are only 6 hours away from each other. Many beautiful beaches and an immense biodiversity make Costa Rica an ideal place for swimmers, diving and surfing. You can take a look at some of the most known beaches below:

Volcanoes

As part of the Ring of Fire, the volcanoes of Costa Rica are among the most striking and attractive in the world. The origin of Costa Rica is derived precisely from the complex volcanic activity that began over 75 million years ago and continues today!

Some of these volcanoes are now part of national parks highly frequented by local and international tourists.

Waterfalls

Hundreds of waterfalls can be seen on the countryside of Costa Rica. Beautiful cascades and roaring rivers are waiting for you to explore them! One day trips including hiking, horseback rides and even rapelling tours are common for the most known waterfalls. Take a look at some of them!
